Overview
We aim to provide a reliable SaaS learning experience and clear subscription terms. This policy explains when refunds may be considered for subscriptions purchased on the MYPE IELTS platform. Subscription payments are generally non-refundable once access to the paid service has been provided, except where required by law, required by Paddle policies, or approved in specific cases described below.
1. Payments and Billing
Payments, subscriptions, billing, invoices, taxes, refunds, and payment-related transactions are handled by Paddle, our Merchant of Record and authorised reseller. You may see Paddle on payment pages, invoices, receipts, bank or card statements, or billing communications. Refunds may be reviewed and processed by Paddle. Paddle's refund decisions, payment processing timelines, and applicable buyer protection rules may apply. MYPE IELTS does not store your full card details.
2. Subscription Renewal
Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the next billing date. You are responsible for cancelling before the next billing date if you do not want to be charged again.
3. Cancellation vs. Refund
Cancellation stops future renewals. It does not automatically refund the current billing period. After cancellation, you normally keep access to paid features until the end of the paid billing period.
Refund, if approved, returns your payment and may revoke access to paid features immediately.
If you simply want to stop future charges, cancellation is usually the right action. A refund request should only be submitted if you believe you meet one of the eligible cases below.
4. Subscription Refund Rules
Monthly Subscriptions
- Monthly payments are generally non-refundable after access to paid features has been provided.
- Renewal charges are non-refundable if the subscription was not cancelled before the renewal date, except where required by law or approved by Paddle.
Annual Subscriptions
- Annual payments are generally non-refundable after access to paid features has been provided.
- Annual subscriptions are not automatically prorated after cancellation.
- Renewal charges are non-refundable if the subscription was not cancelled before the renewal date, except where required by law or approved by Paddle.
- After cancellation, access continues until the end of the paid annual period.
The free tier does not require payment and is not subject to refunds.
5. When a Refund May Be Considered
Refunds may be considered only in limited cases, such as:
- Duplicate charges
- Billing errors
- Verified technical issues that prevent access to the paid service and cannot be resolved within a reasonable time
- Unauthorised or fraudulent charges, subject to investigation
- Cases required by applicable law
- Cases required or approved by Paddle
Submitting a request does not guarantee approval.
6. Non-Refundable Cases
Refunds are not provided for:
- Unused features, partial use, or lack of use
- Change of mind
- Failure to cancel before renewal
- Not achieving a desired IELTS score or exam result — MYPE IELTS provides educational software tools and does not guarantee official IELTS results
- Fees, currency conversion costs, bank charges, or payment provider charges, unless required by law or handled otherwise by Paddle
7. Technical Issues
If you experience a technical issue, please contact us at support@mype.ai as soon as possible. We will try to help resolve the issue. If a verified technical issue prevents access to the paid service and cannot be resolved within a reasonable time, a refund may be considered.
8. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund review, contact billing@mype.ai with your account email, payment date, and reason for the request. Submitting a request does not guarantee approval.
9. Processing Time
We aim to review refund requests within a reasonable time. If a refund is approved, the time it takes to appear on your payment method depends on Paddle, your bank, card issuer, or payment provider.
